“ Lu's garden is like a fast casual resturant. The times I went was after 9 PM. The food is prepared and under heat lamps. There are a few dishes they would pop into the microwave if it isn't warm enough. If this makes you feel a certain way, I think their food is fresh during the day. They have a variety of home comfort foods. My friend and I usually come to Lu's Garden when we are recoving from the flu or crave foods that are focused on nourishment. Their sweet potato congee is oddly the highlight. It's so simple, tasteless yet addicting. I think it's because I grew up with it and this food just reminds me of home. I do feel the food is expensive for what it is. Every time I go (as a party of 3), the bill is about $80+. It's definitely not a Panda Express. I can say it's great for those who grew up with this type of food in an East Asian household, but it can be odd for those who didn't. ”

“ I've been to Lu's for years. 10 plus years actually! The restaurant is clean and it is busy on their busy days. If you dine in you get unlimited porridge with your sides. We get mince pork, sausage, and a bamboo dish. Honestly there's so many good things to chose from and we tend to change it up every time. If you order togo their 3 item combo comes with rice. If you opt for porridge it's extra. 3 item combo is $16.95. Their portions are ok. Even on my hungriest days I wouldn't be able to finish this set. So $16.95 is worth it. ”
